From 9 -13 November, the Micronutrient Forum 5th Global Conference 2020: CONNECTED ‘Building new evidence and alliances for improving nutrition’ will be held. This virtual event will cover the broad spectrum of micronutrients – research, efficacy and safety, implementation, and the policy and enabling environment. In addition, the conference will take a deep dive into how micronutrients might be optimized and protected within food systems.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NWGN have organised a sponsored session entitled ‘Are Public-Private Partnerships a must for accelerating the food system transformation, improving nutrition, livelihoods and climate adaptation?’ The aim of the session is to focus on learnings of Dutch PPP’s and will start with 3 presentation on PPP-cases, including:

  • Vegetables for all – Heleen Bos (RijkZwaan)
  • Designing a Blended Finance Response for Nutrition: The Nutritious Foods Financing Facility (N3F) – Sofia Condes (GAIN)
  • Leveraging Cross-Sectoral Partnerships for Systemic Solutions  – Fokko Wientjes (DSM)

After the presentations, you can view the panel discussion with these 3 presenters which is moderated by Inge Brouwer (WUR).
