CARE Netherlands
CARE Netherlands is a member of the CARE International confederation that supports humanitarian and development programs through technical support, advocacy, fundraising, and communications.
In December 1993, Dutch development organizations came together to establish the Disaster Relief Agency (DRA). CARE Netherlands was founded in 2001 when the former DRA merged with CARE International.
CARE Netherlands responds to crises globally by providing necessities such as food, clean drinking water, and shelter; improves women’s rights by supporting female leaders and entrepreneurs; and influences policy related to climate adaptation, gender equality, and equal partnerships.
